Being Intentional as my Child Learns and Grows

With my little, this season is so much fun. He is learning so much and growing so quickly. This morning s during tummy time, he scooted forward so he could grab a toy that was just out of reach. He was getting his little legs under him and he hadn't done that before. It was very exciting. He loves to read and seriously has since we brought him home from the hospital. At just weeks old he would intently look at the book as we read it him. He'd grab the edges of the book even. Now he starts … [Read more...]

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17 As the mama of a little your days may seem mundane right now. Ask God to come along side you and guide your days at home. Your little won't be little forever! Each day with him is making a deposit into the kingdom of God. Let's Pray Father God, Some days it feels like all I do it's change diapers and lactate. Encouragement for Moms of Littles (Growing Up)

And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. Luke 2:52 Growing up happens so fast. When you're a kid though it seems to take forever! And my baby how is he five months old? He already has this personality that is larger than life! It's amazing to me that just this time last year we were … [Read more...]

Encouragement for Moms of Littles (Character and Faith)

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 As Christian mamas the one thing we want more than anything is for our littles to grow up to love Jesus. It's our job to teach them about Jesus and encourage them to have a relationship with Him. It's also our job to teach our kids character and help them grow a rock solid faith. We must gently help them to know that while they are not perfect they serve a God who is. Do a few intentional … [Read more...]

Encouragement for Moms of Littles (Overwhelmed)

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers.  1 Peter 3:12 The first few weeks of being home with some newborn were Over. Whelm. Ing. I didn't expect to feel that way since I'd been a stepmom for ten years, I'd pulled all nighters in college, and my husband is an amazing dad and partner. I had no idea. I had heard that the tiredness you feel when sleep deprived from a newborn is like nothing else but I didn't get it. And it used to make me mad … [Read more...]

Encouragement for Moms (Write 31 Days)

I'm at a kind of weird season of motherhood. Weird but good. I have a 15 year old stepson and a 5 month old baby boy. It's sort of like starting over but not. I love being a stepmom and I'm loving being a bio-mom. I didn't know I could love like this. I started this blog as a place of encouragement for stepmoms. I'm still a stepmom but I also see a need for encouragement for moms of littles because I sure do! So for the month of October I'm joining the Write 31 Days group and … [Read more...]
