Quick Lit (Special Encouragement Edition)

Today I’m linking up with Modern Mrs Darcy for Quick Lit a series of short reviews on what I’ve been reading.

To continue with my Write 32 Days theme of encouragement, here’s a few books that have been encouraging me lately.

Simply Tuesday: Small-Moment Living in a Fast-Moving World

Emily P Freeman writes to show her readers how to be content in the here and now, and as Emily says stop letting “hustle hijack your soul.”

I love this: “Let’s take back the long days and the short years and all the months that come between them, because this is where our real life happens. And we won’t be so naive as to try to make the hard times beautiful, but we will have faith that the hard days are making us, remaking us, and forming us into the likeness of Christ.”

For the Love: Fighting for Grace in a World of Impossible Standards

Seriously Jen Hatmaker has me laughing out loud in my car as I listen to this book on my commute. I know I look insane. For. The. Love. Jen is so authentic as she shares stories and ways to “love God, love people.” I’m not finished with this one yet but recommend it already.
