I Choose to Be Another Mom

I choose to be another mom to my stepson. I’m not his mother; he’s got one. But that doesn’t mean I’m not important or special to my stepson. I hope you realize this is true for you, lovely stepmom.

Moms are special people but stepmoms are pretty special too. We choose to be a mother to someone who may or may not love us like we would like them to. We choose to put our hearts out there and love unconditionally.

I would love to hear from you… what is your number one challenge as a stepmom? Also, what’s the best part of being a stepmom for you.
Praying for you mamas! Keep up the great work.

  1. I just happened on your blog through another blog I follow. Wow…what a blessing. I have been committed to pray for my almost 7 year old stepson for awhile. He’s going through so much change, on top of changing homes every other week between our family and his mom’s. I’ve always searched and hoped I would find something for stepmoms that is Christ-centered. I know there are books and other resources but it’s nice to see a real life story of someone so committed to being mom to her stepson. Sometimes it can feel like I’m on an island when it comes to step parenthood but it’s so worth it!

Jessica I’m so glad you’re here!! I really want this to be a community for stepmoms like us! I hope to”see” you again soon.

  2. I LOVE this! I think it is so important for us as Step Mothers to concentrate on the positive aspects of our role. At times that may mean that our pride needs to take a back seat once in a while. This is the first time I have visited, but I am loving it. Great Job Step Mom!!!
